CEBIO 299 - Research Proposal in Anatomy 3 Credits
A required course in which Ph.D. candidates prepare a National Institutes of Health grant application on the questions to be addressed in the proposed doctoral research.The proposal contains sections on 1) background leading to the questions; 2) specific aims; 3) preliminary results; 4) rationale of the experimental design and methods, potential pitfalls, and alternative approaches. After the proposal has been approved, the student can proceed with dissertation research. Any deviation from the program outlined in the proposal must be approved by the student’s Research Advisory Committee. Course director: Dr. Edward Glasscock
