Welcome to the School of Health Professions & Sciences Student Handbook

All students should read and adhere to the policies, regulations, guidelines, and codes of conduct included in the School of Health Professions and Sciences (SHPS) Student Handbook and any amendments that may be added during the 2026 - 2027 academic year. The contents of this handbook may be modified to carry out the purposes and objectives of the university; therefore, the university reserves the right to change any of this material at any time.

Unless otherwise indicated, this Handbook is not a substitute for the Louisiana State University Health Shreveport (LSUHSC-S) Catalog/Bulletin.

Some academic programs have created handbooks that contain policies specific to their program.
