GOALS:
Students will complete a course of independent study in order to maximize the successful passage of the United States Medical Licensure Examination (USLME), Step 2 Clinical on the first attempt.
OBJECTIVES:
By completion of the course the student will:
- Participate in aprogram of independent and self-directed studying and learning of clinical the sciences
- Schedule a personal counseling session with the Assistant Dean for Student Affairs if identified as an “at risk student” for failure of USLME Step 2, Clinical Knowledge. (The Dean of Academic Affairs will notify the student of their risk category.)
- Take the Comprehensive Clinical Science Self-Assessment prior to taking USLME Step 2, Clinic Knowledge examination with achievement of a passing score.
- Report the CCSSA score to the Dean of Academic Affairs.
SPECIFIC DUTIES OF SENIOR STUDENTS:
Independent study for ULSME, Step 2, Clinical Knowledge
Successful Completion of the Comprehensive Clinical Science Self-Assessment Exam from NBME.
