Faculty Handbook 2025

Preamble

The Faculty Handbook serves as a comprehensive resource outlining the policies, procedures, and expectations that shape faculty life at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center at Shreveport (LSUHSC-S). Faculty members are responsible for reading and becoming familiar with the contents of the handbook. While every effort is made to keep the information and links within the handbook current, faculty are encouraged to consult referenced materials periodically to ensure accuracy. As policies and regulations are updated periodically, discrepancies may arise between the handbook and the most current official policies. In such cases, the official policy will take precedence. Additionally, any provision in this handbook that conflicts with regulations from LSUHSC-S, LSU, the LSU Board of Supervisors, the Louisiana Board of Regents, or local, state, or federal laws will be superseded by those regulations.
