  1. September 7, 2021: Major revisions and new content -
    • Expanded article on standing committees to include formal charters of all institutional and school-specific standing committees
    • Added article about the Faculty Delegate Assembly of the School of Allied Health Professions 
    • Added article about the Dean of the School of Graduate Studies
    • Consolidated articles on Administrative Councils
    • Updated article on Amendments to include provisions for review and approval
    • Reorganized the outline of the Manual of Procedure and edited it for style and grammar

Approved by the General Faculty on August 8, 2021, Deans of the Schools of Medicine, Graduate Studies, and Allied Health Professions on August 10, 2021, Administrative Council on September 7, 2021, and Chancellor on September 7, 2021

  1. June 10, 2022: Major revisions and new content - 
    • General Provisions of Standing Committees: Added clarifying language about participation of persons employed by LSUHS clinical partner under Membership
    • New standing committees: Diversity Advisory Committee, History and Archives Committee, Strategic Planning Steering Committee, Continuous Quality Improvement Committee (SOM), Executive Committee (SOM), and Faculty Development Committee 
    • Communications Committee: Name change; formerly titled Medical Communications Committee
    • Academic Success Council (SOM): Previously a subcommittee of the Medical Curriculum Council; Medical Curriculum Council and SOM Executive Committee voted to merge the 3rd and 4th Year Promotions Committees into the Academic Success Council and make it a standing committee
    • Professionalism Committee (SOM): Updated charter approved by Professionalism Committee

Approved by the General Faculty on May 20, 2022, Deans of the Schools of Medicine, Graduate Studies, and Allied Health Professions on June 1, 2022, Administrative Council on June 10, 2022, and Chancellor on June 10, 2022.

  1. July 8, 2022: Major revisions and new content - 
  • Manual of Procedure name changed to Faculty Bylaws of the LSU Health Sciences Center in Shreveport
  • New standing committee: Women in Healthcare and Science Committee
  • Faculty Development Committee: membership clarification; minor verbiage changes
  • Graduate Advisory Council: membership change
  • Research Advisory Council (RAC): revision of purpose statement

Approved by the General Faculty on June 23, 2022, Deans of the Schools of Medicine, Graduate Studies, and Allied Health Professions on July 8, 2022, Administrative Council on July 8, 2022, and Chancellor on July 8, 2022.

  1. March 13, 2023: Major revision and new content -

  • Academic Success Council Appeals Subcommittee - updated conflicts of interest and recusal policy

  • Admissions Committee - added minimum number of members

  • New standing committee: Administrative Directive Council
